The other side of midnight, a call to arms. A thirst for discotheque discordance and 12 shots of fortitude. Dressed to kill with deadly precision, for the death and the glory we will dance in the ashes that fall from the sky! Spewing modern tales of revelry and revolution, evenflowerskill rouse the masses with a sonic palette ranging from intense hardcore beatdowns to decadent nu-jazz motions. Imagine Studio 54 meets CBGBs Tony Manero in a half-cut fistfight with Henry Rollins - and youre hurtling towards the hedonistic halfway house that is EFK. Following the 2004 self-financed full-length debut Discordance evenflowerskill recorded their follow up ep: "Split Lips and Cocktails" - the next logical step towards upping the ante and pushing the party spirit. Produced by Iain Wetherall (Beecher, Skindred), Split lips was a crushing technical riot, arrived via Every Time I Die, Refused, Poison the Well as well as Roni Size, Prince and James Brown. This stylistic fusion was emphasised by incendiary live shows where audience interaction and confrontation were key. After the departure of vocalist Matt, guitarist Ryan and founder member Christoph (to the excellent ambient project Fossils) in 2006, EFK have regrouped with the addition of the incredibly talented Helen on drums and the Mark on vocal duties. The band have written new material, retaining the technical drive, aggression and diversity of early EFK, all the while pushing the ante. The band have released the results of these sessions, a new Self titled EP, featuring eight new songs, and will be touring extensively throughout the remainder of 2008.

Press / CD Reviews

Christopher Keith-Wright - Sound Devastation 2005
'Split Lips & Cocktails' EP Review
"Definitely one of the objectives of this EP is to throw the rule book out, party and sound pretty damn good at the same time. Which EvenFlowersKill do on a regular basis on this 20 minutes plus EP. The vocals might not be to everybody's taste, a rasping growl which still manages to sound like the voice, life and indeed soul of the party. It's the unexpected mix of this at times chaotic yet sonically pleasing instrumentation, coupled with this odd vocal style (sometimes 'gang vocals') and at times thundering drums and/or evil riffs that catch the listener off guard. It's a joy for anybody who has to listen to tonnes of repetitive music all the time - EvenFlowersKill don't break barriers they dance right over them. "
Press / Live Reviews

Bob Glanville - Rock Sound 2004
"First up this month are leftfield jazzcore scientists evenflowerskill, straight from their secret bunker half a mile below Coventry. Stand back, goggles on, this is an experiment. EFK heat Jaco Pastorius, Michael Jackson and Refused over a flame just to watch the mixture blow up repeatedly in their face. It's impossible to look away from the spectacle, and quite beautiful in a sick sort of way."

Steve Beebee - Kerrang! 2003
"Maximum volume is created and maintained by local bruisers evenflowerskill"

Meeshii - Audiogoik E-zine 2003
"A band that clearly do not think in straight lines and a very promising one at that."

Lou - Warwick Boar 2002
"It’s impossible to stress how important the chameleon-like nature of musical styles is to Evenflowerskill. Powerful, dramatic and beautiful all at the same time, they’re impossible to classify – but why would you want to?"

Corrina - Bandzine 2002
"All nodded appreciatively as the ‘Flowers conjured up jazzy interludes interspersed with hardcore histrionics reminiscent of Dillinger Escape Plan."
